Melissa Ledgerwood

Melissa Ledgerwood is a native of San Diego, California. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Since then she has been working for the University of California, San Diego performing medical research. Her first research projects were for the Department of Radiology testing novel ultrasound techniques for breast cancer detection. Now with the Mittal Group in the Division of Gastroenterology, she performs experiments involving ultrasound, MRI, and manometry techniques.
